Chunky Wool

Chunky wool is highly insulating and warm due its natural structure of the fibres. It has as an active fibre that reacts to body temperature, keeping the wearer warm but also providing breathability in milder conditions.

Care Instructions

Wool is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, often needing to only be aired out between wears rather than being washed.
Hand wash in cool water with mild wool detergent, avoid fabric softener.
Submerge the item and gently swish; do not rub or agitate.
Do not wring to avoid distortion to the knit as it stretches fibres.
Reshape garment after washing and lay flat to dry. Dry away from direct sunlight or radiators as this will help prevent wools from becoming brittle, felting or shrinking.
Never hang a wet, chunky wool garment as the weight of the water will stretch it out of shape.
Always store chunky wools in a drawer or on a shelf, avoiding hanging them on clothes hangers as this will prevent distortion of the garment.
Shedding is natural with chunky wool; gentle use and occasional soaking in cold wate helps reduce it.
Use a sweater comb or fabric shaver to remove any bobbles caused by friction
